For The Record is a photography and writing-based project launched by the Marist Circle's 2016 editor, Bernadette Hogan, and her editorial staff. The initiative aimed to deepen ties among the Marist community by showcasing the inspirational stories of over 50 students. We continued the initiative into the 2017 fall semester, compiling the final product into an interactive exhibit. I served as an editorial assistant for For The Record, and I was fortunate to have been able to interview and share the stories of six , truly remarkable Marist students. All photos were taken by Chun-Li 'Ken' Huang, creative director.
"When Alexa Cucchiara was three years old, she would gallivant around her home in Lower Manhattan dressed in paper outfits she cut and created for herself. By middle school, the paper materialized into fabric, and by high school Alexa was dawning customized skirts she designed using her sewing machine. "
